Lunars Album Cover

This design was created as part of a competition for Lunars’ song release first titled ‘Murder in the basement’ but officially named ‘Buried in the basement’ when released. The image features an emo girl embodying the themes of the song, she has pale skin and wears a grey t-shirt adorned with the Lunars band logo, complemented by a choker and fishnet sleeves. Her head is replaced by a TV screen displaying the song title in a gothic-inspired font, with blood dripping down her neck and hand, adding a dark, edgy aesthetic.

Her hair is styled in shades of green and black, drawing inspiration from the lyric ‘Hair like Billie Eilish’, the background features a gold/silver metal texture, contrasting with the darker elements of the design. I really love this design because it was something more slightly out of my comfort zone but it was also really fun to use little annotations in the song to create a fun playful yet darkish design that really captures the song.
